Women's health Osteopathy in Marlow

Minerva exists to support women to live a life unlimited

Minerva is a specialist women’s health osteopathy clinic in Marlow, supporting women through physical and hormonal change at every stage of adult life.

Pregnancy, postnatal recovery, pelvic health concerns and midlife transitions can leave women feeling uncertain about their bodies – unsure what’s normal, what needs support, and who to trust.

We’re here to change that.

Through calm, whole-person osteopathic care, we help women understand their bodies, rebuild confidence and move forward with clarity at their own pace.

Post-partum recovery is often treated as something to “get through” or “bounce back from”. Leaking when jumping, running and trampolining is increasingly being normalised. Menopause symptoms are expected to be quietly endured. We believe women deserve more care, more time and more understanding through life’s transitions.

Minerva offers thoughtful, evidence-based care that recognises both the physical changes and the emotional weight that can come with life’s transitions.

Whole-woman care, guided by wisdom

Inspired by her namesake, the Roman goddess of wisdom and strategy, our approach to care is shaped by clarity, patience and intent. Often symbolised by the owl, Minerva represents the ability to observe quietly, understand deeply and act with purpose rather than urgency.

This philosophy underpins how we support women. Rather than rushing to treat or relying on rigid protocols, we take time to listen, ask meaningful questions and understand how your body is functioning as a whole before deciding what support will be most helpful.

Change -whether following birth, during hormonal transition, or in response to long-standing symptoms –  is not something to rush. It requires space, informed support and realistic guidance. It’s a process of adaptation, rebuilding trust and finding confidence in your body.

At Minerva, expertise is applied with restraint and respect. Care is steady, considered and collaborative, so you feel informed, supported and confident moving forward.

If you have results from recent scans or imaging (such as X-rays or MRI), feel free to bring them along. It can also be helpful to have a list of any medications you’re taking, but nothing else is required.

Wear what feels comfortable. We may ask you to dress down to underwear so we can observe movement and posture clearly, but you’re welcome to wear close-fitting clothes instead if that helps you feel more at ease.

Expertise you can trust

Care at Minerva is grounded in rigorous training, professional regulation and years of clinical experience, delivered in a way that feels human.

All osteopaths train through an extensive, evidence-based programme that combines anatomy, physiology, clinical reasoning and hands-on practice. Alongside our therapists core osteopathic qualifications, they have undertaken postgraduate training in women’s health osteopathy, including specialist study with the Molinari Institute of Health. We also have approved Mummy MOT® practitioners. This advanced training focuses specifically on pregnancy, post-partum recovery, pelvic health and the complex changes women experience through this stage of life.

Osteopathy itself is a protected title in the UK. This means anyone using the title “osteopath” must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council and meet strict standards of education, clinical competence and ongoing professional development. Osteopaths are regulated healthcare professionals, committed to safe, ethical and evidence-informed care.

At Minerva, expertise isn’t about impressing you with qualifications, it’s about using knowledge responsibly. We take what we know, apply it thoughtfully, and explain it clearly, so you feel informed, reassured and confident in the care you’re receiving.
